Cape verde Fauna
In Cape Verde there are no ferocious or venomous animals. The Cape Verdean fauna consists mainly of domestic and non-domestic animals such as birds, small reptiles, beetles, endemic insects and birds, and there are also several species of small monkeys on the island of Santiago.
There are about one hundred and five species of land and seabirds, of which about forty two reproduce locally.
